PMA PARTS
The Aeroplane Factory holds FAA Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) Under that approval we produce parts for all of the STCs that we have developed. Additionally, we have PMA authority to manufacture several Globe and Temco Swift landing gear parts either for sale or under license to the Swift Museum Foundation.
Our PMA currently includes: SWIFT ALUMINUM RETRACT LINKS, p/n AF-11-312-2301 This part is machined from a solid aluminum billet and replaces the original Globe forged aluminum part. These parts are being milled on our new Haas CNC milling machine. The parts are finished and ready to be purchased. Swift Parts will be the sole distributor for these parts. SWIFT STEEL RETRACT LINKS, p/n AF-11-313-2302-1 & -2 This part will be machined from a solid steel bar and replaces the original Globe part. These are the crank arms that extend from the landing gear actuator to the aluminum retract links above. One is the drive arm for the actuator and the other is the idler arm that fits into the fitting on the forward landing gear bulkhead. ADEL LANDING GEAR STRUTS, p/n AF-16084 This replacement part will be manufactured in a slightly different manner than the original Adel strut, but will retain the Adel external dimensions to ensure a correct fit with existing assemblies. The original strut was "flash" chromed with only .0004"(four ten-thousandths) of chrome which was susceptible to pitting and rusting. Our struts will have .004" (four thousandths) of hard chrome and will be ground to size after being chromed. This process costs a little more but it produces a superior product. Each strut is checked for dimensional conformity, leak checked and sold with a "No Leak" guarantee. ADEL LANDING GEAR STRUT BUSHING, p/n AF-16085 This is a replacement for the Adel bronze bushing that is found inside the upper strut housing and seals to the above landing gear strut part. This replacement bushing is manufactured with double O-ring grooves to ensure a positive, long-lasting seal. SWIFT LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR BUSHINGS, p/n AF-16036 and AF-16037 These bushings are found in the landng gear actuator housing and support and seal the shaft of the steel retract link shown above. HORIZONTAL STABILIZER FRONT AND REAR CARRY-THROUGH CHANNELS, p/n AF-11-110-1105 and AF-11-110-1112 These parts are manufactured under the Aeroplane Factory PMA under a licensing agreement with the Swift Museum Foundation.
