Temco Buckaroo
SOLD ! Swift N80919 s/n 1112 SOLD ! UPDATE:
This aircraft came with a 210 HP Continental IO-360 engine installed without an STC. The aircraft had no logbooks and was
in the experimental category because of several modifications that had been made, including the engine installation, which
had no FAA approval. The engine has been removed and a Merlyn Products STC and IO-360 engine mount have been purchased. The
included engine will be reinstalled in accordance with the STC. The fuselage wheelwells have been stripped and repainted with
urethane paint. The landing gear actuators and downlocks have been rebuilt. The Adel landing gear struts were replaced with
new old-stock parts and leak checked before installation. The horizontal and vertical stabilizers were disassembled, cleaned
and primed with an epoxy-based primer and will be reassembled with new outer skins. The Aeroplane Factory STCs for a sliding
canopy, electric elevator trim, machined stall strips and dual control sticks will be installed. The aircraft will be returned
to the Standard Category and new logbooks will be created at project completion. This project is
for sale in it's current condition or as a finished aircraft.
Swift N78293 s/n 2293 This was a unique aircraft in that it had been converted to a single center-seat arrangement, certified in the Experimental Exhibition Category. This aircraft will be returned to the Standard Category at the completion of the rebuild project. The original rudder pedals, pedal arms and cross tube have been reinstalled. The landing gear was removed and the wheelwells have been stripped and repainted. The landing gear struts, actuators and downlocks have been rebuilt and reinstalled. The Aeroplane Factory STCs for a sliding canopy, electric elevator trim, machined stall strips and dual control sticks will be installed. This project is for sale in it's current condition or as a finished aircraft.Contact don@aeroplanefactory.us for additional information about this project.
Siai Marchetti SF-260 Wings Occasionally The Aeroplane Factory takes on a non-Swift project. These SF-260 wings came to us with visible corrosion on one spar cap extrusion in the fuel tank area. The wings were disassembled and corrosion was found on all of the spar caps. The spar cap material was analyzed with our Arc Spectrometer to determine the chemical composition of the metal and then a hardness test was conducted to determine the necessary heat treatment. New spar cap angles are not available, so the crew at The Aeroplane Factory will manufacture new ones to the correct dimensions. When the new spar caps have been manufactured the spars will be reassembled and new wing leading edge skins will be made using our Farnham countor roll. The wings will then be placed in a wing alignment jig where the new skins will be fitted and riveted into place.
