SLIDING CANOPY - STC SA02141LA
The sliding canopy installation changes the entire look of the Swift. The visibility is increased
dramatically, expecially when compared to the original Swift solid canopy hatch. Ease
of entry into the cockpit is similar to that of an original-hatch Swift and much easier
than with a gull-wing hatch modification. The original windshield, windshield bow,
rollover structure and rear quarter windows are removed during the STC installation.
Rollover protection is provided by a new windshield bow which has been load-tested to
5200 pounds without failure. New-manufacture parts included with the STC kit are: windshield
bow, canopy frame, windshield, top windows, slides and tracks, roller, roller guide, latch,
outside fuselage skins, and installation hardware. Installation instructions, installation
drawings and a CD of installation photos showing each step of the process is included for
those who want to install the kit themselves or have their local shop complete the installation.
The Aeroplane Factory's Electric Elevator Pitch Trim STC is included with this kit (A $995 added value).

CONVERSION FROM CONTROL YOKES TO STICKS - STC SA4855NM
Dual Stick Conversion: This kit replaces the control wheels with control sticks. All parts that rotate with respect
to another part are on ball bearings or rod ends. The system uses 21 bearings. The use of bearings and rod ends eliminates any
slop or play in the controls and provides a smooth travel without any binding or catching. We currently hold a multiple STC for
this modification and manufacture the kit on site using our Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA). The cost of the
bearings is making it prohibitive to produce these kits economically so if you want the smoothest feel and the
best geometry in a stick conversion STC order one of these kits as soon as possible.

ELECTRIC ELEVATOR TRIM - STC SA02052LA The original trim manual crank is removed and an electric servo is used in its place. Electrically-operated trim, actuated by a button on the control yolk or stick is much easier to use than the original crank. Additionally, installation of the electric pitch trim system eliminates the slop in the trim tab that has accumulated during 60 years of wear.
